In another call between a Russian soldier and his wife, intercepted and published by Ukrainian GUR, the two discuss an unspecified appeal made by wives of members of a Russian tank formation asking authorities for clarity. As the soldier tells his wife, this is not going to change anything since he believes even Putin himself doesn’t give a f*ck.

(W): Did any of you over there speak about the video with some wives of soldiers who wrote an appeal?
(R): Ah, yes, yes. About the tank brigade… the tank division, or something? I saw the appeal. […] I’m saying I understand them very well… since they *husbands* all left… their husbands left to “exercises”… but not everyone is returning from these “exercises”. At first they apparently were going to exercises but it then turned out to be a special operation, and then this special operation turned out to be a war.
(W): Yeah…
(R): I understand them perfectly!
(W): I do too, but what’s the point of this *the appeal*?
(R): There’s no point in this. Nothing can be done for us. Are they going to go to Putin directly? C’mon, this never happens. Putin will say – “I’m happy for you, I don’t give a f*ck!”. And that’s it. Just like my battalion commander says – “I’m happy for you, I don’t give a f*ck!”.
(W): …At least for a month, at least for a month they could let you come home. At least!
(R): *cheeky voice* but I would leave in such a way to never come back.
(W): I know. I would have done it so you’d definitely never come back *laughs*.
